The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health is a not-for-profit organisation that integrates and leads Community Controlled Health Services in South East Queensland, home to Australia’s fastest growing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population.
IUIH Charity Events is the Institute’s fundraising arm. IUIH provides holistic health and medical services for our community including allied and extended health services like dental, physio, eye care and social health. We run preventative and rehabilitation programs to address chronic disease. And we host activities and events to keep our community healthy and safe - including school camps, education programs, and sports carnivals.
In the past 5 years, IUIH has reduced the Health Adjusted Life Expectancy for our clients by almost a year, and these figures are still improving.
You can help!
Participating in one of these charity events will directly contribute to the work the Institute is doing to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in South East Queensland.
Funds raised contribute to delivering Deadly Choices programs including leadership camps for school students and sporting events.
